The group arrived at the library at exactly 09.45 WIB and was welcomed by the Head of the ITS Library Administration Sub-Division who represented the Head of the Library, Edy Suprayitno, accompanied by Senior Supervisors and Persons in Charge of Library Services and Digital Development and Processing services.
Guests were welcomed in the Biblioteka room on the 2nd floor, which is the court/meeting room belonging to the ITS library. The event began with remarks from the Head of Subdivision, Mrs. Tjatwari, introducing all her staff who accompanied the guests. Then continued with the speech from the Head of the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Polytechnic Library, Mr. Sapto Harmoko, SIP., M.A, as well as introducing the staff. Mr. Sapto conveyed the aim and purpose of their visit for this comparative study, namely that they wanted to know what facilities and services were available in the ITS Library which would later be possible to implement in the Poltekkes library, because their library in Yogya had the opportunity to occupy a new building with 4 the previous floor was only 1 floor. During the ongoing discussion, Mr. Sapto and his staff asked many questions to the ITS library, and all were answered clearly by Mr. Edy’s staff which were directly related to their respective duties. Then, after taking a group photo and handing over souvenirs to each other, to further clarify and deepen the field learning results, the event continued with a library tour of all sections and services in the ITS library, starting from the 1st floor to the 5th floor, starting from material processing management. libraries to library facilities and services. During the library tour, it is hoped that the health polytechnic friends will learn a lot which can then be applied and practiced directly when they return to their library.
After the library tour ended, everyone returned to the discussion room for ishoma, then the discussion continued again, this time guided directly by the head of the ITS library, Mr. Edy Suprayitno. Mr. Edy conveyed what he had obtained during the library tour and hoped for feedback from the health polytechnic librarians so that a conclusion could be drawn about what could be implemented and what could not be implemented in their library. At the end, Mr. Edy did not forget to say that colleagues from the Health Polytechnic should only take the good ones from the ITS library, while the bad ones should be left behind and don’t take them with you.
