On Friday, July 12, 2024, the ITS Library was again lively with 28 elementary school students, CONVERSA Language Academy. Accompanied by 4 companions and guided by 5 ITS librarians, namely Eva Mursidah, Yeni Anita Gonti, Iwan Juniarto, Taufik Rachmanu, and Gunawan, this visit was an unforgettable moment for the children.

The visit began at 08.30 with a warm welcome at the main door on the 1st floor. The children were introduced to the front office and CCWS (Creative Co-Working Space), giving them an initial overview of the library facilities.

Next, the group was directed to the 3rd floor, where they visited the magazine room, hotspot cafe, and reference (Computer Room). Here, children can enjoy various magazine collections and feel the comfort of the room.

On the 4th floor, the atmosphere became more interesting with a visit to the Multimedia Room. Children watched an inspiring short film about reading and a love of libraries. The facilitators then continued by giving a conclusion of the film’s contents, increasing the children’s motivation to love literacy even more. Not only that, in this room they could see historical objects in the mini museum.

The activity continued with a tour to the 5th floor, where children were invited to tour the bookshelves, and gathered at the PLN Corner. Here, they were allowed to choose and read their favorite books, creating a fun and educational reading experience.

The event closed with a group photo in front of the front office and the main door. Before going home, the children and facilitators got snacks and drinking water, adding to their joy after a memorable visit.

This visit is not only an educational tour but also part of the ITS Library’s efforts to foster an interest in reading from an early age. With a friendly atmosphere and complete facilities, this library is where literacy can be enjoyed by all ages, bringing happiness and inspiration to visitors.
