Surabaya (10/14/2024) – The ITS Library has once again become the center of creative learning activities for students through film screening activities organized by the BEM of the Faculty of Creative Design and Digital Business (FDKBD) ITS. The activity, which took place on Friday, October 25, 2024, took place at the ITS Library Mini Theater.
“This activity is part of the ITS Library’s efforts to support the development of soft skills and critical thinking skills of students,” said Multimedia Librarian Mr. Iwan Juniarto, SE.
The screening of the films “Mencuri Raden Saleh” and “Sakti” which took place from 08.00 to 15.30 WIB was specifically designed for 30 ITS student participants. Emilia Nofisari as the Chairperson of BEM FDKBD 2024 explained that the selection of a limited number of participants was aimed at creating a more interactive and in-depth discussion atmosphere with the film director.
Activity Agenda: Screening of selected films, Interactive discussions, Analysis of creative industries, Discussion of contemporary social issues.
“Through this activity, we hope to introduce the dynamics of the creative industry while improving students’ critical thinking skills on social issues,” said Bionanda Icha Tenata, the Head of the activity’s implementation committee.
The ITS Library Mini Theater was chosen as the venue for the activity because it is equipped with supporting audiovisual facilities. This room is one of the superior facilities of ITS Library, which can be used for various academic activities and the development of students’ soft skills.
This activity is real proof of the synergy between the ITS Library and student organizations in creating a creative and inspiring learning environment. The ITS Library continues to be committed to supporting various student initiatives aimed at improving the quality of learning on campus. (onemore)
