As part of its project management strategy, the HETI Project Implementation Unit (PIU) ITS paid a visit to the Lembaga Pengembangan Ilmu dan Teknologi (LPIT) to discuss projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).
The visit was led by HETI ITS Manager Bambang Piscesa, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., and his team, who were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Surjamanto W., M.T., Head of LPIT ITB, and Surya Nugroho Wahyono, S.T., M.AB., representing the PIU. LPIT is the unit that manages the Promoting Research and Innovation through Modern and Efficient Science and Technology Parks (PRIMESTeP) Project, which focuses on strengthening the ITB Innovation Park (IIP) as an innovation ecosystem that can produce innovative research to become industry solutions and have an international scale through funding from ADB foreign loans.
The PRIMESTeP ITB project shares a common focus with the HETI ITS project, namely to make universities centers for research and innovation. STP ITB, also known as ITB Innovation Park, is an innovation and product commercialization zone that collaborates with industry, government, communities, and the media. The PRIMESTeP program aims to:
The visit began with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Ir. Surjamanto W., M.T., on the current operational status of ITB’s Science Techno Park (STP), an overview of the PRIEMSTeP program, and the achievements of PRIMESTeP. Next, Mr. Bambang Piscesa, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., as the HETI manager, presented the achievements of HETI to date. This was followed by a discussion on the lessons learned from each other’s experiences in implementing STP development projects, as well as strategies to achieve targets.
The spirit of collaboration and synergy built from this visit is a strong foundation for HETI ITS and PRIMESTeP ITB to strengthen synergy and collaboration in implementing ADB-funded projects and to continue to work and produce innovations that are beneficial to society.
