Sains Techno Park (STP) ITS is a science and technology park located at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia. STP to support innovation and commercialization of technology, development of business creation, employment and economic development from the results of research downstream by lecturers and students.
The park has four main centers:
a. Creative industry
b. Maritime technology
c. Automotive
d. Information and communication technology and robotics
The centers of STP will be focused on providing a comprehensive range of services to support innovation and commercialization in Indonesia. These services will include teaching, research, innovation, certification, stakeholder engagement, and marketing.
Teaching will include internships and hands-on training to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workforce. This will help to ensure that graduates of ITS are prepared for the demands of the modern economy.
Research will be conducted on a variety of topics related to the industries served by the centers. This research will help to develop new technologies and processes, and to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian businesses. The centers will also provide researchers with the resources they need to conduct their work, such as laboratories, prototyping facilities, and testing equipment.
Innovation will be supported by providing entrepreneurs with access to the resources they need to develop new products and processes. This will include incubation and acceleration programs, as well as access to funding and markets.
Certification will be offered to students and professionals to help them develop the skills they need to succeed in the workforce. These certifications will be recognized by employers in Indonesia and around the world.
Stakeholder engagement will be a key focus of the centers. This will involve working with government agencies, businesses, and NGOs to support innovation and commercialization. The centers will also provide shared spaces and equipment to stakeholders, and will offer incubation and acceleration programs.
Marketing will be used to raise awareness of the centers and to attract new tenants. This will involve promoting the centers’ services to students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and businesses.
The HETI project, which is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will help to integrate advanced technology into teaching and research at ITS. This will expand the university’s capacity to implement market-relevant programs and high-quality research. The project will also ensure that all facilities built are gender-equitable and accessible to people with disabilities.
