Menjadi lembaga pendidikan jenjang doktor dan pengembangan statistika dan sains data bertaraf internasional yang berkontribusi dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, khususnya bidang Komputasi, Bisnis & Industri, Ekonomi & Finansial, Sosial & Kependudukan, serta Lingkungan & Kesehatan.
Tujuan program studi (Program Educational Objectives (PEO)) mencerminkan pencapaian lulusan program studi setelah tiga tahun. PEO dari Program Magister Statistika adalah untuk menghasilkan Magister Statistika yang berkualitas sehingga dapat berkarir sebagai dosen, peneliti, dan praktisi di bidang Statistika dan Sains Data dengan ciri-ciri sebagai berikut:
PLO-1: | Able to apply knowledge of statistical theory, mathematics, and computation in various fields and develop them |
PLO-2: | Able to identify and formulate the research problems using correct statistical methods and able to develop a statistical methodology (method or model) to attain a novelty in statistics |
PLO-3: | Able to conduct studies and compare the strengths and weaknesses of a statistical methodology (method or model) in solving a multidisciplinary system/problem in statistics and data science, using mathematical proof and computational techniques and modern computing tools |
PLO-4: | Able to work together in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams and able to communicate their research output orally and written in the reputable international journal |
PLO-5: | Able to self-learning lifelong with full of responsibility and uphold the professional ethics and humanity values |
