Beautiful Village is one of the efforts to realize the target of SDGs village No. 17 by building village partnerships with BPS through the provision of data needed at the village level. Love Village Statistics (Cute Village) is a program to improve the competence of village officials in managing and utilizing data so that village development planning is more targeted.
In the context of fostering Sectoral Statistics, BPS is expanding its reach to the Village level. Love Village Statistics (Cute Village) is one of the sectoral statistics development programs at the village level. With Beautiful Village, villages are no longer considered objects of development, but are placed as subjects and spearheads of development in improving community welfare.
Statistics Corner is a BPS program to get closer to academics at universities with various activity programs. One of the statistics corner activity calendars is community service.
On Monday, January 24, 2022, the Head of BPS East Java Province along with the BPS East Java Province Statistics Corner team and the BPS East Java Province Beautiful Village team along with the ITS Statistics Corner team consisting of the Head of the Statistics Corner, Mrs. Dr. Dra. Ismaini Zain, M.Si and Academics from the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Statistics and Data Analytics (FSAD) and the Department of Business Statistics, Faculty of Vocational Studies, ITS visited the Beautiful Village Development Team of BPS Batu City and the Beautiful Village Working Group Team from the Pesanggrahan Village apparatus, Batu City to discuss and learn about statistical development carried out there. Pesanggrahan Village is one of the top 10 Beautiful Villages nationally.
In the future, ITS through the Statistics Corner will create a program of activities to support Beautiful Villages in East Java by creating an appropriate curriculum and collaborating with the local government to strengthen statistics in the Village.
