Technology research and development activities continue to be intensively carried out by the STKK DRPM ITS (Marine and Earth Science and Technology Research Center, Directorate of Research and Community Service, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology). One of the research products being developed in the marine field is the Biofouling dual camera.
This product is a set of underwater dual-camera equipped with a holder that can be changed the distance between the cameras and move at a certain angle for shooting at a distance of objects between 0.25 – 1 meter— applied to 3-dimensional modeling of biofouling with close-range photogrammetry techniques at water depths of 1 – 5 meters.
“This product is in the process of a simple patent and has passed the formality inspection stage,” explained Agung Budi Cahyono, ST, M.Sc, DEA, one of the developers of the dual camera Biofouling from the STKK DRPM ITS research center team.
It is hoped that this Dual-camera for Biofouling Sampling Acquisition will soon receive a patent so that it can be applied to address various biofouling problems.
