ITS Campus, ITS News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) received a grant in the form of a 30 GHz Spectrum Analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) Indonesia on Wednesday (17/5). This grant is a follow-up to the collaboration established several years ago with Indosat and Nokia, which also involved the ITS 5G Experience Center. The grant was presented during the 5G Experience Center Technology Day event held at the ITS Postgraduate Theater Building.
The 30 GHz Spectrum Analyzer is a tool used for analyzing the spectrum structure of electrical signals. Valued at hundreds of millions of rupiah, this tool is used for measuring 5G signals and as a radar application that will be utilized by ITS, as ITS is one of the campuses with a 5G Experience Center in Indonesia.

The symbolic handover of the grant was conducted by Muhammad Arif, the Managing Director of PT R&S Indonesia, to the leadership of ITS represented by Dr. Ir Endroyono DEA, who is in charge of this Information & Communication Technology (ICT)-based collaboration. The event was attended by Danabalan Amirthalingam, the Account Director of NOKIA Indonesia, Bayu Hanantasena, the Managing Director of Lintasarta and former CBO Indosat IoH, as well as other high-ranking ITS officials.
During the event, Endroyono, also known as Edo, explained that ITS has conducted extensive research focusing on millimeter waves and very high radio frequency bands, requiring sophisticated tools to facilitate research in the future. “This Spectrum Analyzer can enable high-capacity communications, and when used for radar applications, it can provide highly sensitive measurements,” said the ITS 5G Experience Program Director.

Edo expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the grant and the presence of the guests, emphasizing their significant role in developing digital talent, particularly at ITS. According to Edo, this tool will be further developed for human resource development, product development, and business applications as a concrete step towards the 5.0 industrial revolution.
