ITS Campus, ITS News – A start-up company established by students of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), INCLUDE Technology, has once again succeeded in achieving international recognition. At the Southeast Asian regional level, they currently won the Bronze Winner award for the Private Sector category at the 2024 ASEAN Digital Award (ADA) and helped Indonesia to lead the overall champion at this prestigious event.
ADA is an award given to businesses, organizations, or individuals who have pioneered innovative products or services and made significant contributions to the digital field in the Southeast Asia region. The 2024 ADA awarding was held on the Gala Dinner agenda of the 4th ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting (ADGMIN) at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, in early February. Previously, this start-up also won the third place at the 2023 University Startup World Cup, which was organized by Venture Cup Denmark in September 2023.

INCLUDE Technology CEO, Singgih Ardiansyah, explained that INCLUDE Technology is the first end-to-end smart Internet of Things (IoT) solution company in Indonesia that focuses on reducing machine downtime and increasing industrial efficiency. “Our services are a series of ecosystems that can help overcoming downtime in industry by providing warnings, data, and predictive analysis regarding machine conditions,” he said.
Furthermore, Singgih assessed that INCLUDE Technology’s journey to reach ADA 2024 was quite long, starting in 2022. At that moment, the team led by the lecturer, Muhammad Nurif SE MT, succeeded in securing the first place in the private sector category at the 2022 Indonesia Entrepreneur ICT (IdenTIK) event. This achievement gave an opportunity for INCLUDE Technology to take part in curation until they were selected to represent Indonesia at the 2024 ADA along with a number of other teams.

After a long online curation process, finally, in November 2023, INCLUDE Technology was announced as a finalist of the 2024 ADA in the private sector category. Together with four other finalists representing Indonesia, INCLUDE Technology had the opportunity to make an offline presentation in front of the 13 final judges of the 2024 ADA on the award night.
The aftermath of Indonesia’s finalists represented for the 2024 ASEAN Digital Award including INCLUDE Technology, Shieldtag, Crustea, PT Imaji Semesta Anthropologi, and PT Jaramba Mobilitas Nusantara, along with a delegation from the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information.
Singgih and the team feel proud and grateful for gaining this achievement, besides experiencing on a professional scale competition. He expects that his team innovation can reach a various fields in the vast industrial world. “Hopefully, our innovation can be sustained to be useful for the industrial world in Indonesia,” said the student from Purbalingga himself.
