Vocational Education Programs are aimed at preparing skilled workers (practical expertise) to be ready to go directly into the world of working. Therefore, at ITS there is currently one Faculty where education is oriented to working skills that suited to the development of applied science and technology and matches the demands of the employment needs, called Vocational Faculty. Vocational Faculty provides more practical knowledge training compared to other faculties in ITS.

The Department of Electrical Automation Engineering (DTEO), is one of the Departments of the six Departments in the Vocational Faculty. The DTEO 2018 curriculum provides more than 60 percent of practical study, including Industrial Internship course for approximately six months in the fifth semester. This course encourages the student to apply their knowledge acquired during college days and to obtain additional new knowledge to understand and solve future problems in the industry. In addition, it is also to provide an overview and study of the work environment, which is not provided in college.
