From 28 November until 2 December 2022, ITS Geophysical Engineering had a series of guest lecture given by international professor. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Hwee San from Universiti Sains Malaysia was invited to give lectures with the topic of around Remote Sensing.

The visiting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Hwee San was started by the collaboration meeting led by Astria Nur Irfansyah, Ph.D, the Senior Manager of ITS Global Engagement. After the discussion, Dihein Reksa Ikmaluhakim, staff of ITS Geophysical Engineering, provided a campus tour forAssoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Hwee San , and it was continued with welcome meeting with lecturers of ITS Geophysical Engineering.

The guest lecture was started on the second day, which was held on 3rd floor of ITS Geophysical Engineering building with the topic of “Introduction to GIS. The series of lectures continued on the next days with the topics of “ENVI for GIS”, and “Introduction to Research Methodology”. Not only the lectures giving, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Hwee San also visited the Sidoarjo mud volcano to do survey in correlation with research collaboration with ITS.

For ITS Geophysical Engineering, the class with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Hwee San was magnificent. The knowledge given by him was delivered in interesting way and well received. Thanks to the funding of World Class Professor (WCP) Program provided by ITS, which is able to invite Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Hwee San to flew from Malaysia to Indonesia to have session with students of ITS Geophysical Engineering.
