Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said that the Covid-19 pandemic was the toughest crisis facing the tourism and creative economy sectors. Furthermore, he said that he was concerned about the 34 million people of the archipelago who depend on this sector for their livelihoods and livelihoods. “That’s a burden on the mind. We want to quickly carry out innovation and adaptation movements, so that we can collaborate to rise and immediately restore tourism and the creative economy, “.
Lots of room for innovation Although the pandemic is considered the mother of all challenges, Sandiaga also said that it not only makes tourism and creative economy actors look for opportunities, but also creates winners. Innovation has not only made them survive in the midst of a pandemic, but also revived and developed the sector. The tourism industry really needs new innovations so that everything can run at the same time as the pandemic and this innovation is very important for learning if a similar disaster occurs but the tourism industry continues.
