Michael Aragorn Purba (Geomatics 2022), Mohammad Rifqi Alfarizi (Geomatics 2022), and M Ulin Nuha Abduh (Geophysics 2022)for representing ITS and achieving 2nd place at the Scientific Writing Competition GEOPOINT ITB 2025!
With their groundbreaking work titled “SMART-I: SEGMENT ANYTHING MODEL FOR RESILIENT AND SUSTAINABLE FOREST CITY IN IKN”, they introduced the innovative SMART-I WebGIS powered by AI to monitor land cover changes in Indonesia’s new capital using high-resolution satellite imagery and the Lang-SAM model with BERT-based text prompts.
This system enables construction change detection with an accuracy of 70-85%, offers interactive visualization through a WebGIS dashboard, and supports the realization of a sustainable Forest City concept!
This victory is not only a proud moment but also a testament to ITS’s contribution to advancing geospatial technology for sustainable development!
