Fluid Mechanics and Machines Laboratory focuses on fundamental fluid mechanics, applied fluid mechanics, and renewable energy in carrying out teaching, research, and community service. This laboratory provides facilities to conduct laboratory works and researches through experimental and numerical study that result in Final Project, Thesis, Dissertation, Scientific Publication, and ideas to resolve engineering problems in the industry.

KEGIATAN LABORATORIUM

Praktikum

1. HIDROSTATIS

Praktikum hidrostatis dilakukan untuk memahami fenomena tekanan hidrostatis, memahami prinsip gaya fluida, dan memahami persamaan tekanan hidrostatis.

2. BILANGAN REYNOLDS

Praktikum bilangan Reynolds dilakukan untuk memahami prinsip dasar bilangan Reynolds dan memahami fenomena aliran dalam pipa.

3. COMPARATIVE FLOW APPARATUS

Praktikum comparative flow apparatus dilakukan untuk mengamati head loss dan losses coefficient aliran yang melalui suatu fitting perpipaan serta mengamati debit teoritis dan koefisien discharge aliran melalui flowmeter pada sistem perpipaan dengan hubungannya terhadap perubahan laju aliran.

4. BERNOULLI APPARATUS

Praktikum Bernoulli apparatus dilakukan untuk mempelajari fenomena nyata dari hukum Bernoulli, mempelajari prinsip head menggunakan pitot tube, dan mempelajari prinsip kerja alat ukur fluida.
