The Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held another international guest lecture entitled “Inspiring Maritime Autonomy: How OceanAlpha USV Could Shape the Future of Ocean” on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. This activity aims to provide insight to students about the OceanAlpha Company which is a global leader in the development of Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV).
In this guest lecture, Mr. Junyang Li, a Regional Business Manager at OceanAlpha Group Limited, was the guest speaker. He presented material on the latest technology used by OceanAlpha, USV applications in various maritime sectors such as oceanographic surveys, environmental monitoring, to defense, as well as research opportunities and international cooperation in the field of autonomous maritime. Mr. Junyang Li also provided opportunities for students who wanted to ask further questions about the material that had been presented and was greeted enthusiastically by students. The guest lecture ended with a group photo session.
