FACULTY OF VOCATIONAL ITS receives a visit from SMK Negeri 10 Malang to develop the Spirit of VOCATIONAL EDUCATION Currently, Vocational Education currently has an important role in the development of human resources, especially in connecting theory with practice in the industrial world. The Faculty of Vocational Studies of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) is aware of this and is committed to supporting students to be able to adapt to the world of work. One of the real steps taken is to invite students and teachers from SMKN 10 Malang to take part in the Visit to Universities activity on Tuesday (10/1/2023).
With the potential for a large demographic bonus, Indonesia has the opportunity to achieve economic progress if the skills of the productive age workforce are well prepared. The Faculty of Vocational ITS realizes the importance of this preparation and focuses on developing student competencies so that they are ready to face industry challenges. Through this activity, the Faculty of Vocational ITS wants to provide deeper insight to SMKN 10 Malang students regarding the world of more applicable vocational education.
Visit to College is an annual activity held by the ITS Vocational Faculty to introduce the education system, academic atmosphere, and student activities in this faculty to high school students. This event aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of vocational education at ITS. During this visit, around 50 students of SMKN 10 Malang along with accompanying teachers were given the opportunity to get to know the academic life and facilities better. Positive responses came from students who showed interest in studying in the vocational field.
This activity was held by the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, which was also attended by the Vice Dean of the ITS Vocational Faculty, Dr. Ir. Bambang Sampurno, M.T. This visit further emphasized the commitment of the ITS Vocational Faculty in supporting the development of vocational education in Indonesia.
