Among them are the Deputy Dean of ITS Dr. Ir. Bambang Sampurno, M.T., who acted as the Main Speaker on this occasion. Apart from that, there was also Moh. Safi’i Mansur S.ST., M.T. as Chair of the Promotion Team, as well as Koirul Amam S.E., who is a Member of the Promotion Team and Website Manager of the ITS Vocational Faculty. Their presence aims to provide comprehensive information regarding vocational education programs at ITS, especially for students who are interested in continuing their education in this field. In his presentation, Dr. Bambang Sampurno, S.t., M.T. emphasizes that the Applied Bachelor’s degree awarded by the ITS Vocational Faculty is of equivalent quality to a Regular Bachelor’s degree. The vocational program at ITS is designed to provide learning based on practical skills, which can be directly applied in the industrial world. This educational approach that prioritizes practice aims to prepare graduates to be ready to enter the world of work with high competence, and able to adapt to the needs and challenges of the industry that continues to develop. “The vocational program at ITS has the advantage of a curriculum that is oriented towards the industrial world. We want to produce skilled workers who are ready to use and have the ability to directly contribute to the professional sector,” said Dr. Bambang in his speech. “Through this approach, we believe that Applied Bachelor graduates can pursue careers quickly and have a high competitive advantage.”
This visit also provided broader insight to Bumi Solawat Progressive High School students regarding the benefits of vocational education which not only prioritizes theory, but also practical skills that are really needed by the industrial world. Students who choose vocational education, especially at ITS, will be equipped with skills and knowledge that are in line with job market trends and needs. “We want students with the talents and abilities they have to see the opportunity to continue their studies at the ITS Vocational Faculty. We are confident that with the vocational education we offer, they can make a big contribution to the increasingly competitive industrial world,” added Moh. Safi’i Mansur. Great hopes were expressed on this occasion so that more students would be interested in continuing their education at the ITS Vocational Faculty. The ITS Vocational Faculty offers practice and industry-based education, with various Applied Bachelor’s programs that are relevant to current developments and the needs of the world of work.
