The selection for Undergraduate Program is a selection of new student admissions for the Strata-1 education program or commonly abbreviated as S1. The study load for obtaining a bachelor’s degree is generally 144 credits (semester credit units) and is normatively taken for 4 years. Unlike the applied undergraduate program, which is a vocational education program, this undergraduate program is an academic education program.
Academic education is higher education for undergraduate and postgraduate programs directed at mastering and developing branches of science and technology. The hope is that students will be able to practice science and technology through scientific reasoning.
Academic education prepares students to become cultural intellectuals, able to enter and create jobs, and develop themselves into professionals. Graduates of a bachelor’s program are entitled to use a bachelor’s degree and, if continued, can earn a master’s or doctoral degree.
