The selection for Undergraduate Program is a selection of new student admissions for the Strata-1 education program or commonly abbreviated as S1. The study load for obtaining a bachelor’s degree is generally 144 credits (semester credit units) and is normatively taken for 4 years. Unlike the applied undergraduate program, which is a vocational education program, this undergraduate program is an academic education program.
Academic education is higher education for undergraduate and postgraduate programs directed at mastering and developing branches of science and technology. The hope is that students will be able to practice science and technology through scientific reasoning.
Academic education prepares students to become cultural intellectuals, able to enter and create jobs, and develop themselves into professionals. Graduates of a bachelor’s program are entitled to use a bachelor’s degree and, if continued, can earn a master’s or doctoral degree.
In the undergraduate of academic programme, ITS provides 37 choices of major that can be selected based on 7 faculties. The Faculty of Science and Data Analytics provides 7 undergraduate majors. The Faculty of Industrial Technology and Systems Engineering provides 6 undergraduate majors. The Faculty of Civil, Planning and Geo Engineering provides 6 undergraduate majors. The Faculty of Marine Technology provides 5 undergraduate majors. The Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology provides 8 undergraduate majors. The Faculty of Creative Design and Digital Business provides 5 undergraduate majors. The undergraduate program is taken for four years with a minimum credit load of 144 credits.

ITS opens the Regular Undergraduate Program through 4 admission selections. This program is intended for graduates of high school/equivalent. The Regular Undergraduate Program is taken within 4 years with the obligation to complete a minimum of 144 credits of education. For prospective students from high school/equivalent, ITS also offers Applied Bachelor Programs (for vocational education) and International Bachelor Programs (for international-standard academic education).
ITS opens 2 lines of new student admissions for the RPL Undergraduate Program. This program is intended for college students/graduates with learning outcomes obtained from formal, non-formal, or informal education, and/or work experience into formal education. This program is pursued with a study period according to the credits that have been achieved.
